National Assembly

Each year, the British Red Cross gathers at the National Assembly, an event that gives the organisation’s volunteers and staff a chance to hear about the highlights of the year and discuss upcoming initiatives.

The 2015 National Assembly focused on the new strategy, “refusing to ignore people in crisis”. There was a desire to make the event more interactive and a need to revisit the exhibition space by defining a clearer purpose for the stands.

Client: British Red Cross

Year: 2015

Location: London, UK

I was responsible for liaising with teams from across the organisation to help them develop their stands, planning the layout of the entire marketplace, coordinating the marketplace and working with colleagues to create interactive displays and activities. I collaborated with the design team to design the partitions for each stand.

"Virginia really took hold of the project and made it her own, bringing her creative flair to the event and curating the exhibition so that it was more focused, engaging and purposeful. Delegates and senior staff commented on how fresh and professional the space looked, and how much easier it was to find your way around compared to previous years' exhibitions, and this is largely down to Virginia's creative vision, attention to detail and focus on quality.”
